Part-time BA at All Hallows College The Adult Learning BA represents a unique and distinctive approach to higher education for adults in Ireland, by linking experience with study and focusing on achievable outcomes of learning. This flexible, modular BA that the student designs according to their own interests and goals is open to all adult learners aged 23 years and older. Credits are given for existing skills, knowledge or experience, thus quickening the route to degree. The degree was launched in September 2009 with a total of 25 students. With three intakes per year during 2010 and 2011, the programme now boasts over 137 students, far exceeding expectations, with one student graduating in October 2011.
Following Prof. Robinson's talk, staff, students and guests enjoyed refreshments and a chat in the college dining room. |
