To mark the appointment of Dr. Patrick McDevitt, C.M., Ph.D as president of All Hallows College in September 2011 and welcome a new era for All Hallows, the college has declared the week of 26th November – 2nd December as President’s Week. This is a week filled with many different activities and celebrations, with local and international visitors joining staff and faculty in paying tribute to All Hallows’ proud tradition of 170 years of values-based education and service to society.

Dr. McDevitt is the college’s 12th president and the eighth Vincentian to hold the office. His nomination strengthens a longstanding partnership between All Hallows College and DePaul University, Chicago, USA. Both institutions are directed by the Vincentian community, with its skills-based and action-oriented philosophy, believing in the potential of people and society to work together towards positive growth and change.  Dr McDevitt has most recently been Associate Professor in the graduate human services and counselling programme of the College of Education at DePaul.
