Laying the bricks for the Church of the Future

Spiritual Leadership for a Caring Society - What is to be a Spiritual and Caring Professional?
Everything in All Hallows is geared to providing a response to that question. Aware of the pressures and stresses that face people who enter the spiritual and caring professions in the changing world of the 21st century, All Hallows specialises in providing expert training for the people who enter these vocations. Consequently, it provides a variety of courses that equip graduates with the spirituality, values, skills and information necessary to function as effective and integrated carers.

Leadership and Support
Once described as an “Oasis for the Soul”, All Hallows provides a safe environment where students can:

• Explore the different ways in which they function as modern day carers collage of pics
• Identify areas of strength in their lives and work
• Articulate areas of needed personal and professional growth
• Gain the confidence and capacity to work for social justice and change
• Gain the ability and skills to work with others
• Develop the ability to be able to honestly and compassionately evaluate their work

Through the work of Purcell House International Centre for Mission and Ministry, groups based in the college and a Field Education programme All Hallows students are exposed to a wide variety of different pastoral and social issues:

Making a difference
All Hallows introduces its students to the fact that the starting point of education in spiritual care is their own experience and provides them with skills to reflect creatively on that experience. The students are encouraged to “make a difference” by:

  • Providing them with value-centred approach to life
    • Providing them with the basic foundations for a fulfilling life
    • Developing their skills to make sound judgements
    • Bringing theory into action
    • Providing person centred education where “People Count”
    • Demonstrating to them how to engage critically and effectively with society
    • Training them for “frontier work” – that they will be working with “searchers” as well as “believers”
    Affordable and Accessible

All Hallows makes every effort to ensure that its programmes are available to the widest number of people possible. To accommodate those who have limited financial resources all courses are prices as low as possible. Since many people come from a variety of different educational backgrounds, All Hallows offers a diversity of programmes from basic introductory courses to high level degrees.
